Tawong buhay pa.
Pinapanginutan na,
Na magadan na.
Ganid sa halop,
Kuwartang sinasamba mo.
Kamunduan mo.
Gusto na nindong
Kamkamon, sadirihon,
Bakalon gabos.
Pusong mauri
Daing pundong kumpara,
Kalag mong halop.
Kahalopan mo,
Kaatian kan puso,
Mamundong kalag.
Sisay man kamo?
Gusto na nindo akong magadan,
Halop na tawo.
Sisay man kamo?
Na mga asumera
Halop sa perak!
Kamong mauri:
Daing kakuntentuhan,
Mamundong kalag.
Minemenos mo kami,
Pigpakaraot mo pa.
Maating isip.
An matabaon:
Sa uri, tsismis, halop.
Pusong madiklom!
Pusong mauri,
Mga halop na kalag,
Ugaling raot.
Ma gurang kamo,
Mga kalag na halop,
Pusong mamundo.
An kaugmahan
Tunay na kabuutan.
Bakong mauri.
An sakong buhay,
Pinanginutan nindo,
Hanggad magadan.
Gabos na tawo,
Mayong makakalibre,
Sa kagadanan.
Kalag na halop,
Mga pusong mauri:
Maating isip.
Buhay pa ako,
An heling nindo sako
Kamkamon gabos!

- a haiku I wrote in Bicol language, from a point of view of a silent and observant, ever patient octagenarian; based also on malicious, greedy, envious, persons who hide well their ill wishes for sickness and death as they want to acquire material goods or the house of the old person.
English Translations of my haiku in Bicol verses:
The Greedy and Envious
The person is still alive,
They already hope in advance:
for that person to die.
Excessive greed,
money that you worship.
Your loneliness.
You all wanted,
To acquire, to own,
To buy off everything.
Envious hearts,
Do not stop from comparisons
Your greedy soul.
Your avarice,
Your malicious heart,
What a sad soul.
Your covetousness,
Your dirty heart,
What an avaricious person.
Who are you?
Full of assumptions,
Greedy of money.
You who are envious,
won’t have contentment.
What a forsaken soul.
You run down us.
You slandered us.
What a contaminated, destructive mind.
The fat ones:
of envy, gossip, calumny, greed,
What a dark soul!
An envious heart,
The avid souls,
What a rotten character.
You’ll grow old,
Greedy souls,
Sad hearts.
The joy,
The genuine goodness,
not from an envious one.
All people,
cannot escape,
the call of death.
Insatiable souls,
Covetous hearts.
Destructive minds.
I’m still alive
You only see me
Of what you’ll rapaciously acquire!
