Welcome to my travel site: Odyssey of a Heart. As an avid book reader and writer, I love to visit the houses of authors, literary museums and particular historical locations which influenced them in their writing. Visiting the house of my favourite classic authors, I feel a personal, reflective connection towards a special memory shared through from the showplace or museum, the interior of the house, the myriad piles of books, writing desks, antique chairs, old Underwood typewriter, the sea, garden and reading local historical news. Walking through the village where the author lived create a nostalgic understanding of what influenced him on his writing, impressions and inspirations that lead them write their masterpieces.
Traveling has healed my deepest wounds. It paved way to many happiest moments.

Enjoy my various literary travels and other intercontinental destinations. It all started when I first flew cross the Atlantic in February, 2003 from Italy to USA. I took the Greyhound bus from Tampa to Fort Lauderdale, and in 2005 from Charlotte to Asheville, North Carolina.
Historical and literary destinations are within a car, train or bus ride or low cost flight away from me here in Europe like the Anne Frank Museum, Casa di Dante Alighieri, birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, Axel Munthe Villa, Ugo Foscolo, Dionyssios Solomos, Calypso Cave of Odysseus, Marcel Proust, oldest restaurants in Paris, Le Procope and Venice, Florian, where many literary, historical, political, revolutionary, legendary authors or personas frequented. I love to visit art museums, different libraries and bookshops I visited and other special literary trips I choose to embark.
Sharing you photo stories, inspirational insights, and peculiar experiences rising from my various exotic and foreign travels, enriched with a blend of a variety of dishes, some tips on dining preferences, and recipes.
With a salad of culture, history, food, and destinations, you’ll also find me expressing in various foreign languages I learned and acquired as a second mother tongue.
Enjoy reading.
